-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- None

Review of previous meeting minutes:

- Lance Wang moved to approve minutes from the August 29 meeting.
Mike LaBonte seconded the motion. Minutes were approved without objection.

ARs:

- Bob Ross to write bug reports for new issues:
  - No update.

New IBISCHK bugs:

BUG 192:

- Bob Ross showed BUG 192.
- Bob: Any buffer can be single ended or diff, but we give a caution if a buffer is used for both.
- Michael M: The message should be changed because it implies a default.
  - There should be a "please check the model ..." type of message.
  - The statement "is determined to be Differential" is wrong.
  - A [Model] cannot be differential.
- Bob: I have suggested two alternatives.
- Mike L: This is a post-process; it runs after the file has been read.
  - Maybe the message should say the Model is used for both.
- Bob: It should cite Pin numbers to help the user.
- Mike L: It could give the model name and the first SE and first Diff pin.
- Michael M: We only need to change the last phrase, to not refer to a "differential Model".
  - It could have "is used with a Diff Pin"
- Bob changed the text in the bug report.

BUG 193:

- Bob Ross showed BUG 193.

- Bob: We have conflicting situations.
  - With multi-lingual we require Ramp but no I-V tables, and a caution can be produced.
  - One fix is to suppress the caution if Ramp dV is zero
  - Another is to suppress if [External Model] is present.
- Michael M: John Angulo said Mentor was using dV/dt to estimate bandwidth for transmission lines.
- Bob: That is the Cadence position also.
- Mike L: Maybe the check should be made only when I-V tables are present.
- Bob: We could suppress when [External Model] is present.
- Mike L: Is there a message where no I-V tables are present?
- Bob: Only for Output model.
  - It is suppressed for [External Model].
  - We should not have separate messages for open drain and open source.
- Mike L: We should keep only the second proposed message.
- Bob: The two messages depend on whether [External Model] is present.
- Mike L: That makes sense.

- Michael Mirmak moved to adjourn. Bob Ross seconded. The meeting ended without objection.

Meeting ended: 12:00 ET
